The Switch 2 Nintendo Direct has come and gone, and fans are excited about this exciting new era in Nintendo’s history.

Based on everything we’ve seen, the console will be a smash hit that every Nintendo fan will enjoy, with strong third-party support. Needless to say, it seems like it will please everyone.

So, without further ado, here are all the games announced during the Switch 2 Nintendo Direct.

Mario Kart World

Nintendo started off hot with a sequel to one of their best-selling games. Mario Kart World incorporates aspects from 8 Deluxe and Tour, making it look like an excellent racer. The company is also bundling this game into a Switch 2 bundle.

Welcome Tour is a cute digital-only game that would have made an excellent pack-in title. Simply put, it will get fans to use all of this console's new features. For some reason, this will be a paid, digital-only game.

Switch 2 Edition Games

Specific Switch 1 games will get paid upgrades that make them look and run better on Switch 2. Here is the complete list of games so far:

  • Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
  • The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
  • Kirby and the Forgotten Land
  • Metroid Prime 4 Beyond
  • Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Drag X Drive

A new game in the same motion-controlled vein as Arms, Drag X Drive, will use the Switch 2’s mouse controls to control the characters. It looks like a basketball version of Rocket League, so this could be a gimmicky showcase or something genuinely fun.

Elden Ring

One of this generation’s greatest RPGs, Elden Ring, finally makes its way to Switch 2. This confirms that Nintendo’s new system is on par with Valve’s Steam Deck. Seeing this game run on a Nintendo system will be fascinating.

Hades 2

The greatest Early Access game of all time. It looks like Hades 2 is nearing completion. Much like its predecessor, which jumped from Switch to PC in 2020, Supergiant Games will bring this game to Nintendo’s new console later this year.

Street Fighter 6

Capcom’s premiere fighting game will be a launch title for Switch 2. Street Fighter 6 will come with a standard edition and a Fighters Pass version with all the DLC characters so far. This version of the acclaimed fighter also has optional motion controls for random fun and local play between two Switch 2 systems.

Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion

One of the biggest surprises from this Nintendo Direct is that Daemon X Machina is getting a sequel with the subtitle Titanic Scion. This looks like a more combat-oriented sequel that is a lot more fluid. There is no release date yet, but Titanic Scion looks like a huge improvement from the first game.

Split Fiction

EA’s hit co-op game is coming to Switch 2 at launch, ensuring local fun for gamers everywhere. A huge hit, Split Fiction did well critically and financially, thanks to its unique gameplay and quirky sense of humor. With Switch 2’s power, this should be just as good as versions of the game that are already available.

EA Sports FC and Madden

Speaking of EA, the company is bringing their premiere sports games to Switch 2. Now that we have more powerful hardware, EA can stop releasing full-priced roster updates on a Nintendo system.

Hogwarts Legacy

A more faithful version of the wizarding school RPG, Hogwarts Legacy, should look and play better on Switch 2. The port on the regular Switch is impressive but has performance issues, so this will be a welcome upgrade.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4

Fans of extreme sports will enjoy THPS 3+4 on Switch 2. THPS 1+2 was an impressive port on the original Switch, so we imagine this will be much better.

Hitman: World of Assassination

IO Interactive brings their immersive stealth action game to Switch 2, with seemingly all the content from previous versions. With interactive environments and multiple ways to kill your target, Hitman should impress gamers when it comes to Switch 2.

Project 007

From one agent to another, IO Interactive has confirmed that its James Bond game is coming to Nintendo’s new console. No gameplay was shown, so we imagine that this is still in development.

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster

An HD remaster of Square Enix’s beloved 3DS RPG, Bravely Default, is finally coming to a modern system. It’s funny that this game is just the 3DS title with improved resolution, but that’s not a huge issue. With an in-depth job system and a battle system that inspired Octopath Traveller, this is a can’t-miss JRPG for fans of the genre.

Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut

More Yakuza games are coming to Nintendo platforms, with Director’s Cut being a unique port for the brawler. There’s now a multiplayer mode where players can choose different characters and fight off foes. Naturally, the main story mode is also here and is excellent for fans new to the series.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment

Detailing what Zelda went through during her time travelling shenanigans in Tears of the Kingdom. This looks like the best-performing Hyrule Warriors game so far, and it will be fascinating to see one of these titles without Link—a must-buy for fans who loved Tears of the Kingdom.

GameCube NSO

That’s right, Gamecube NSO is official and will be exclusive to Switch 2. Here are the confirmed games at launch, with more to be added:

  • The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
  • Soulcalibur 2
  • F-Zero GX
  • Luigi’s Mansion (to be added)
  • Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness (to be added)
  • Super Mario Strikers (to be added)
  • Chibi-Robo (to be added)
  • Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (to be added)

Deltarune Chapters 1-4

The sequel to fan-favorite indie hit Undertale, Deltarune, will finally get more chapters when it comes to Switch 2 at launch. Fans of Undertale consider this game a huge deal, so anyone who loves the game’s lore should pick this up.

2K Games lineup

The devs at 2K Games confirmed the following for Switch 2:

  • Borderlands 4 (releasing this year)
  • Civilization 7 (available on Switch 1, supports upgrade pack option)
  • WWE 2K
  • NBA 2K

Cyberpunk 2077

After making a miracle port of The Witcher 3 on Nintendo Switch, CD Projekt Red goes above and beyond to do it again on Switch 2 with Cyberpunk 2077. This will be a launch title, so fans can immediately play one of the best open-world titles.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade

The ultimate edition of Final Fantasy 7 Remake is coming to Switch 2, though no release date was revealed. Square Enix also told fans to stay tuned for the rest of this trilogy, hinting at a port for Rebirth.

Hollow Knight: Silksong

Team Cherry’s highly anticipated sequel is still alive. Supposedly coming out this year.

Fast Fusion

With no new F-Zero for Switch 2, Shin’en is here to save the day, with Fast Fusion coming to Switch 2 at launch. Shin’en releasing these racing games for new Nintendo systems feels like a tradition.

Star Wars Outlaws

Ubisoft will bring its more modern open-world titles on Switch 2, starting with Star Wars: Outlaws. Considering the game is unplayable on Steam Deck, this should be an impressive outing.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess

Another launch game coming to Switch 2, Capcom’s Kunitsu-Gami, is a unique game that mixes fast-paced action with real-time strategy. This game is a major hit with fans on PC, so Switch 2 users might enjoy it.

Wild Hearts S

Since Capcom isn’t immediately bringing Monster Hunter Wilds to Switch 2, Wild Hearts S is the next best thing. Fans can enjoy this action-packed monster-hunting RPG on July 25, one month after the Switch 2’s launch.

Arcade Archives 2: Ridge Racer

One for racing fans: this arcade port of Ridge Racer is finally coming to modern systems. Retro gamers will want to pick this up when it comes to Switch 2.

The Duskbloods

FromSoftware shocked fans by announcing a Switch 2-exclusive Soulslike. It looks like a mix of Bloodborne and Bandai Namco’s Code Vein, and this will be another experience hardcore RPG fans will enjoy.

Kirby Air Riders

A sequel to the GameCube classic Kirby Air Ride, Air Riders looks like it will be a beautiful follow-up. No gameplay was shown, but Masahiro Sakurai returns to direct this unique racing sequel.

Donkey Kong Bananza

The final game shown during this Direct, Nintendo is giving 3D Donkey Kong another chance with Bananza. A beautiful platformer with plenty of action, this game comes out a month after the Switch 2, so it should be great for the launch period.
