The rumors will just be a memory now, as Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy 7 Remake is coming to Switch 2. No release date was announced, but this is going to be a powerhouse showcase for the system. Rebirth wasn’t announced just yet, so the sequel can come along a bit later in the system’s life.
Fans will be delighted to know that this is going to be the Intergarde version of Remake, meaning all of the DLC will be coming with it. Switch 2 owners will be able to enjoy the complete version of this action RPG, not only having the main campaign to enjoy but Yuffie’s sub-story as well. It’s a good primer before Rebirth is eventually announced for the system, which looks more than likely based on its technology.
Based on everything we’ve seen in the Switch 2 Direct, it looks like this is going to be a great version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. No noticeable graphical dips were seen, so this should be on par with the PS4 and PC versions, if not that PS5 upgrade many fans prefer. Hopefully, we get more news on this soon because playing this action RPG on Switch 2 could be pure magic.
The Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy is a bit controversial with fans, as they don’t like how it’s more meta. It’s aware that the game is a remake, rather than being the straightforward retelling that many fans wanted. At the least, combat is really fun, and many fans are going to enjoy this.
