As many predicted, Atlus’ Persona 3 Reload is officially heading to the Switch 2 later this year. It’s not going down now, but fans can rest assured that they’re going to get a quality JRPG for Nintendo’s new system, even if this isn’t an entirely new game. Fans hoping for more content, like the female protagonist, will be disappointed.

Shown off in the most recent Nintendo Direct, this is a pretty straightforward re-release of P3R, something most fans won’t be complaining about. Many were hoping to see this game for the original Switch since Persona 5 Royal came out on the last-gen system, but that just isn’t the case.

Thankfully, Switch 2 owners won’t have to wait long for the game, as Persona 3 Reload will be coming to Nintendo’s current-gen system on October 23. That’s only two months away, and we’re sure that fans will want a taste of this legendary RPG on Nintendo’s hybrid console. Plus, they can play it alongside the other games on the same console.

Many were also expecting to see Metaphor: Refantazio as part of this Nintendo Direct, so it’s shocking to see the game miss this showcase. It was assumed that both P3R and Metaphor would get announced for the system, but Atlus probably wants to space things out. This likely means we’ll get Metaphor on Switch 2 next year.

Persona 3 Reload is coming to Switch 2 on October 23, 2025. Baby, baby, baby!
