Fans are buzzing after Take-Two Interactive’s investor call, which revealed four remastered games are in the works. This isn’t too long after a leaker claimed that GTA 4 was getting a remaster for modern systems. Many are hoping that this means Rockstar Games will make more remasters of their fan-favorite titles.

Described as “four new iterations of previously-released titles,” it’s clear that we’re going to get some remasters from the acclaimed publisher. GTA 4 is the obvious one, but it wouldn’t surprise us if Red Dead Redemption 2 also gets re-released on Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series systems. The other two games are harder to guess, since Take-Two also owns 2K Games, which have a huge roster of titles that can be remastered.

There are plenty of games to speculate on since remasters continue to be popular with the gaming community. We know some fans want to see Bully get a proper remaster, after looking like a PS2 and Xbox 360 game for all these years. Some fans also want to see the handheld GTA games like Chinatown Wars and Vice City Stories, as they were pretty popular back in the day.

It will be interesting to see what other games Take-Two Interactive remasters. BioShock is readily available on modern consoles, though the company could always get away with a better-looking remake or remaster. The Borderlands series is already on Switch, with the fourth game coming to Switch 2, though they could always give the previous trilogy official Switch 2 editions.

Out of everything here, we think GTA 4 is the easiest one to predict. Aside from the leak, fans need another game in the series to play, and they might be tired of GTA 5 after all these years. GTA 4 has plenty of single-player content, and reliving Nikko’s story on modern systems would be a treat for fans.

Red Dead Redemption 2 also seems like a sure bet for a remaster, given how the first game made its way to Switch. An enhanced Switch 2 port would do wonders for the system, as would re-releases on PS5 and Xbox Series. Believe it or not, the game is still stuck on 30 FPS for all consoles, so a performance boost might be enough to win over older fans.

We’re definitely interested in seeing what Take-Two Interactive has up their sleeve with these remasters. Rockstar’s massive fanbase ensures that these re-releases are going to do well until GTA 6 comes out.
