In their statement, they acknowledged the number of leaks that have been circulating, reconfirming that everything CyberLeek has released is legitimate footage of the game. Rockstar stated that it "has been heartbreaking for our team, and this is obviously not how we intended for you to see the game after all this time."

They apologized for how long the company has taken to release official details on the game, possibly alluding to the fact that GTA 6 was delayed twice before sticking with a November 19, 2026 release date.

Despite the leaks, Rockstar has confirmed that the extended look will still release tomorrow, August 27.
