Just a day before Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look debuts on Netflix, Rockstar Games finally released a statement regarding the recent gameplay leaks of the highly-anticipated title.

In the letter, the studio directly addressed the leaks by saying that "it would be an understatement to say that having videos of Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay leak in this way has been heartbreaking for our team, and this is obviously not how we intended for you to see the game after all this time."

Then the studio apologized for the time it has taken them to finish the game and claimed that they are "nearly there," clearing any doubts that the title will be delayed once more.

Unfortunately, Rockstar also made it clear that "the intended game experience may be impacted by some spoilers," alluding to the fact that CyberLeek has claimed to have footage of a Lucia prologue in recent days. However, they hope that players avoid these spoilers and wait to experience the game for themselves.

The leaked gameplay clips have mostly stayed clear of spoilers, only showing parts of the city, such as a video game store or a nudist town, and some gameplay mechanics, but it remains to be seen whether that will remain true as the days go by and CyberLeek leaks more footage.

GTA 6 is scheduled to release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC version hasn't been announced at the time of writing.
