Battlefield 6’s open beta is now readily available for anyone with a current-gen console or powerful gaming computer. Considering how detailed the visuals are and the amount of destruction possible, it does feel like a next-gen title. Interestingly, fans are comparing all of the game’s ports and have concluded that it's best on PS5 Pro.
Well, for consoles at least.
The folks at Twisted Voxel have compared every version of the open beta, with the PS5 Pro version looking to be incredible so far. It hits 120 FPS, is able to render the destruction well, and has the least frame drops. Although the game still runs well on an Xbox Series X, it looks like Sony fans might be winning with this military shooter.
It’s unsurprising to anyone that the Xbox Series S version of Battlefield 6 is considered the weakest one. It has a fairly impressive performance for a mid-generation digital-only console, running the game at 60 FPS, but the visuals have taken a hit. Still a solid option for Series S owners, just not the most viable.
Of course, most hardcore gamers will tell you that the PC version of this military shooter is going to be the best. Assuming players have the needed graphics cards and monitors, they should have a crisp version of the game with tight mouse controls that give players more shooting options. It’s actually understandable that this game isn’t playable on Steam Deck, given how demanding everything looks.

However, making sure that your PC is upgraded can be frustrating and time-consuming. Those who want a basic plug-and-play experience will get the most bang for their buck Battlefield 6 experience with a PS5 Pro. It looks the best, runs the best, and should have good online for PS Plus owners. Physical collectors might roll their eyes at needing a disc drive, but those who opt for digital won’t have the worst experience.
