Battlefield 6 has quickly become one of this year’s most talked-about games, thanks to an acclaimed open beta that impressed fans. This game has become so popular that fans are even playing Battlefield 2042 just to get some free skins. We don’t think it will be a huge surprise when this becomes one of the most-played multiplayer shooters this year.
Naturally, fans want to know everything about this anticipated shooter's modes. After all, this is an online shooter worth $70, so they want to see if it’s worth every penny. Luckily, with an offline story and several multiplayer modes, we think BF6 is going to be a game many will remember for a long time.
Without further ado, here’s everything we know about Battlefield 6’s modes.
Campaign
This is the first time the series has had an offline single-player campaign since Battlefield V, so fans are naturally curious about Battlefield 6’s campaign. Multiplayer shooters like BF and Call of Duty don’t tend to have long single-player modes, as most of the focus goes to online play. Based on the trailer released, EA is putting some effort into this mode; we just don’t know how much yet.
Reports claim this mode will only take around four to six hours, so fans might want to withhold some expectations with this mode. As long as they aren’t going to buy this game for offline thrills, this won’t be a huge problem.
Online Multiplayer
Battlefield 6 will launch with eight multiplayer modes, though only five were available during the open beta. EA went back to the drawing board with BF6, so these modes feel more classic than they did in the controversial Battlefield 2042. Some of these modes will give players free rein over vehicles, while others will limit the number that can be used or remove them entirely.

Here are the modes that will be available when the game launches:
- Conquest
- Breakthrough
- Rush
- Domination
- King of the Hill
- Team Deathmatch
- Squad Deathmatch
- Escalation
Battle Royale
EA has confirmed that there is going to be a Battlefield 6 battle royale that’s separate from the regular online multiplayer. Similar to Warzone, this battle royale will be a separate game and is expected to be free-to-play, so more fans can check it out. The lack of details makes us think that this mode will be released later on, but we won’t know unless EA announces these major changes.
Battlefield 2042 had a battle royale mode, and it garnered a mixed reception due to the game’s poor launch. Now that EA has seemingly learned from 2042’s mistakes, it will be interesting to see just how different this battle royale mode is going to be.
