Destiny Rising

Destiny: Rising is finally out on Android and iOS, bringing this brand-new Destiny experience to everyone. While it was built exclusively for mobile devices, not many players know that you can also play it on PC and Mac if you know how.

Here’s how to play Destiny: Rising on PC and Mac:

Download MuMuPlayer from the Official Destiny: Rising Website

The Emulator is easy to install.

The first step is to download the MuMuPlayer emulator from the official Destiny: Rising website. As long as you have a stable internet connection, this should be quick and easy.

For PC, simply click on the MuMuPlayer download link. Once the file is downloaded, go to your Downloads folder and run the installer. The installer is only 5.1 MB, so you won’t need to uninstall large games like Battlefield 2042 to free up space.

For Mac, visit the official MuMuPlayer website and click the download button. The installer is roughly 750 MB. After the download is complete, install it the usual way by agreeing to the terms and conditions, and click the icon to start.

Once setup is complete, MuMuPlayer will automatically download Destiny: Rising, which requires around 8 GB of storage.

Keep in mind that MuMuPlayer is NetEase’s official Android emulator designed for PC and Mac. While there are other alternatives, such as BlueStacks, this is the emulator recommended by NetEase.

If you’re curious about how it runs Destiny: Rising, the MuMuPlayer emulator operates on Android 12 with 6 cores and 6 GB of memory. It can run the game at 1920x1080 resolution.

That said, don’t expect the same graphical fidelity as Bungie’s Destiny 2. This is a mobile experience, so you may notice jagged edges due to the lack of anti-aliasing and some lower-quality textures.

Destiny Rising

Destiny: Rising is a standalone experience separate from Bungie’s Destiny canon and lore. NetEase has incorporated many familiar elements from their other games, including gacha systems, microtransactions, and RNG mechanics.

Yes, this is a gacha game. Unlike Bungie’s Destiny, there are no traditional classes like Titan, Hunter, or Warlock. Instead, you can customize your character freely while also unlocking new playable characters with unique abilities through the in-game shop or by purchasing them via microtransactions.

And that’s the core of it. Destiny: Rising is the latest gacha game to hit the market. Looking ahead, we’re also expecting another major release in the coming months: Where Winds Meet, a AAA gacha title heavily inspired by Assassin’s Creed. You can check out our preview of that game here.
