Want to keep track of every Nintendo Switch 2 Game-Key Card? Then, hopefully, this handy guide will help you out.
In typical Nintendo fashion, the concept of Game-Key Cards wasn't properly explained to fans, leading to a lot of confusion. In short, these are games that will require a download to work. Although they are technically digital, the cartridge will help the console verify you are the owner of the software, allowing you to play offline once the download has been completed.
There are, of course, the "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition" games. These are physical cartridges that don't require the game to be downloaded into your console's SD card. Most first-party Nintendo titles will work like this, as well as some optimized or smaller-sized third-party games.
In order to save you the hassle of knowing which games are Game-Key Cards and which are marked as Nintendo Switch 2 Edition titles, we've compiled every Game-Key Card below.

As always, this list will certainly grow. We've avoided adding certain confirmed games that will be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 in the near future like Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.
Why? For one, there's not a release date set in stone, and most importantly, it's still not confirmed whether it will be a Game-Key Card game or not. Obviously, the chance of it being exactly that is incredibly high due to the scale of the game, but until we get official confirmation it's not making it onto the list.
And that's pretty much it. While you're here, we recommend you check out everything you need to know about Mario Kart World. It's an expensive game, but if Nintendo is able to deliver on the premise of an open-world Mario Kart, it just might be worth it.
