Monster Hunter Wilds’ first free Title Update is coming on April 4. We previously discussed it at length, covering new additions to the Forbidden Lands, including a new Gathering Hub in Suja, a concert featuring a Diva, and new monsters to hunt, such as HR Zoh Shia and Mizutsune.
But one thing is still missing: a house to store our endemic life and players want it more than ever.
Monster Hunter Wilds has been a massive success, but certain features from Monster Hunter World are still absent, including the ability to have our own house and display our captured Endemic Life.
It’s a Shame We Can’t Display Our Rarest Captures
It feels like such a waste to see our rarest Endemic Life captures disappear into the void, with no way to display them. At least in Iceborne, other players could visit your room if you were hosting a session.
I’ve caught two Sandstars, a couple of rare fish like the Gravid Bowfin, and at least 20 other Whoppers, but my hard work is only reflected as a counter in my Hunting Book—not as something I can proudly showcase.
I once captured a massive Peony Jellyfish in the Oilwell Basin during Plenty Weather, and it was breathtaking to watch it floating gracefully. But without a personal space to display it, I can’t share that experience with my friends.
It Makes Sense in Lore—For Now
From a lore perspective, it makes sense that we don’t have a home yet. Wilds takes place in an uncharted region known as the Forbidden Lands, where we’re among the first hunters to establish a foothold. Each of the game’s five biomes has its own unique culture and customs, and the Hunter’s Guild has only recently begun setting up camps.
Given that the upcoming update introduces the Gathering Hall, where we’ll finally start integrating with the land’s inhabitants, there’s hope that a personal room could be added in the future.
The good news is that Capcom is aware of the issue. A dedicated space to store and display our Endemic Life is planned for future updates, though it may not arrive anytime soon. For now, the team is focused on the Summer Update, which brings back the legendary Leviathan Lagiacrus—an iconic monster absent from the series for the past seven years.
