Snake Eater is often considered one of the best entries in Konami’s franchise, so remaking this game for a newer audience is fitting. Release Date
After the PlayStation Store accidentally leaked it, Sony’s State of Play confirmed that the Snake Eater remake is indeed coming out on August 28. Originally, the game was supposed to come out in 2024, but a precise date was never named. Hopefully, the delay will allow for more polish when Snake Eater comes out later this year.
Platforms
Despite being shown off on the Sony State of Play, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater isn’t just coming out on PlayStation 5. This fancy remake is also coming to Xbox Series and PC, which makes sense. It doesn’t look like the game will be coming to Switch 2 right away, though we won’t be surprised if Konami eventually ports it there.

Fans can check out the newest trailer for Snake Eater below, revealing new details about this remake. As seen in the video, the beloved Snake vs Monkey mini-game returns, though it’s only for PS5. Sony owns the Ape Escape franchise after all, even if they barely use it for modern games.
