- Quick Answer: Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls may not be available in 132 countries because of PlayStation Network region restrictions, similar to past controversies.
It looks like Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls won't be available on PC in hundreds of countries where PlayStation Network isn't available. In total, 132 countries could potentially be affected by this.
SteamDB, a site that tracks a wide range of useful information about Steam's backend, has shared a list of 132 countries where Marvel Tokon can't be purchased. All of them are places where there is no PlayStation Network, meaning that residents can't access a localized version of the storefront or create an account using their country of residence.

Some of the most affected countries are Venezuela, Egypt, and the Philippines. Sadly, this isn't the first time this has happened, with the Helldivers 2 controversy being something Sony seemingly didn't learn from.
Initially, Helldivers 2 on Steam required players to link a PlayStation Network account, leading to review bombing. Community backlash made Sony reconsider and drop the PSN account requirement.
At the moment, it is unconfirmed if said restriction will be set in place when Marvel Tokon launches, but it would be a terrible decision to impose such a restriction on a genre that thrives in having a global community to populate lobbies and ranked like fighting games.
Hopefully Sony, which is funding the game with Arc System Works developing it, can provide some clarity in the weeks leading up to launch.
