All five streaks have to be done in Warzone with that specific weapon, and they only register if you survive from kill one through kill five.
It isn’t measured by total kills or how a match ends. It’s a pure check of how well you can stay consistent under pressure.
The game wants to see you survive long enough to chain kills cleanly, and it won’t move the progression forward until each streak is completed in full.
Because the requirement is tied to individual lives rather than overall matches, a single mistake resets the streak and forces you to try again, which is why players describe Starglass as the first truly demanding step in the Warzone Mastery chain.

Even if you finish all five streaks on your chosen weapon, the camo remains locked if another gun in the same category is still behind.
