Valorant Mobile

Valorant Mobile has been in beta in China for over a year, and I'm convinced they're going to announce the global release at Gamescom 2026.

The Valorant Mobile English logo was included in Tencent's "Worlds of Play" art exhibition marketing materials for Gamescom 2026, which has led me to believe we are finally getting some news and maybe even a release date? I definitely hope so - I want to play Sage while on my commute, too.

Fable

Fable was delayed to 2027, so I have a feeling that it will feature at Gamescom 2026 to ensure players are still hyped about its release.

I think we're going to see some new gameplay and learn more about the characters that will appear throughout our adventure. Hopefully, they'll also use the event to solidify their 2027 release date. After all, some people are already assuming it will be delayed again.

Resident Evil Veronica

After Resident Evil Veronica was announced at Summer Game Fest earlier this year, we've had little to no updates on the state of the game. I'm hoping that changes at this year's Gamescom.

The one thing I'm banking on is a firmer release date. All we know is that it's coming out in 2027, but when? The spring? The summer? What month? So many questions, and I'm yearning for the answers.

Persona 6

If you know me, you know I can't shut up about anything Persona - heck, I'm replaying Persona 5 Royal right now. So it's no surprise that the game I'm anticipating the most is Persona 6. We haven't had many updates since Summer Game Fest, but I am optimistic we'll get something new at Gamescom.

All we have right now is the black-and-green aesthetic. We don't even know what the characters look like (unless you've seen the leaks, of course). I'm praying we get an official trailer, and if I'm pushing it, maybe some gameplay footage as well.

Hogwarts Legacy 2

Earlier this month, Warner Bros. confirmed that we're getting a sequel to Hogwarts Legacy. With how recent the announcement was, I think it makes sense for them to keep the momentum going by giving us more details at Gamescom.

While I think gameplay footage is ambitious at this stage, I do believe we could get a release date window and possibly a short, 30-second trailer to get players interested.

Elder Scrolls 6

We've been getting more and more teasers about Elder Scrolls 6 and how it "looks amazing" according to Xbox Chief Content Officer Matt Botty. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I hope we finally get some concrete updates on the state of Elder Scrolls 6 during Gamescom. A trailer would be incredible, even if it's just a teaser.

The most we've got so far is people saying how good it looks, as well as some initial key art. Xbox CEO Asha Sharma has also stated the game is massive in scale. If they have so much to say about it, reveal it to the fans at Gamescom!

Hollow Knight: Silksong - Sea of Sorrow

The free Hollow Knight: Silksong expansion, Sea of Sorrow, is expected to release sometime in 2026. I believe that before the expansion drops, we'll get a sneak peek at what Hornet is up to next at this year's Gamescom.

Besides seeing what nautical adventures Hornet will be embarking on, I also think we'll get a more concrete release date. After all, there are only a few months of the year remaining - it's better to announce it sooner rather than later.
