If you’re here, it means you’ve stumbled upon what might be Blades of Fire’s ambiguous ending. “What just happened?” you ask yourself, thinking you’ve been thrown back to the very beginning of the game, with nothing but your basic gear and stats.

But before you venture deeper into Blades of Fire’s rabbit hole of lore, consider this your SPOILER WARNING. You’ve been warned.

Here’s how to navigate the complex endgame and unlock the True Ending in Blades of Fire:

Where Is the Blue Lady?

The Blue Lady is located on a ledge after Adso and Aran pass a bridge after the game's opening hours. If you’ve been transported beyond space and time and dumped back where it all began, don’t panic. This is all part of the game’s twisted design. And while it’s an unusual move in videogames, it doesn’t overstay its welcome, which is good.

The Blue Lady.

All you need to do is replay the usual opening: go through the tutorial, push past a few of the Queen’s enemies, and keep moving. Soon, the Blue Lady will appear on your compass. Find her and interact with her. Doing so transports you back to Dharavel, the final location in Blades of Fire, and to the time just before the final boss confrontation.

Who Is the Final Boss in Blades of Fire?

Erin, the Queen's vile sibling, is the game's final boss. Don’t worry, the game progresses normally once you're back in the present timeline. Just defeat the final boss and watch the credits roll.

Adso and Aran.

But pay attention: you’ll notice you’re now controlling Adso. Be sure to interact with the boss’s body afterward. This triggers a cutscene that makes everything clear: it’s not really over yet.

Where Are All 13 Nerea Pieces?

To find all 13 Nerea Pieces, you must find all 13 Nerea Statues scattered all around Blades of Fire's world.

Here are the locations for all Nerea Statues:

  • Aecides Domain - There are seven Nerea Statues in the game's first region, some of which you have already gotten.
  • Tor's Kingdom - There are two Nerea Statues in the Ogre Tor's Kingdom.
  • The Niveous Realm - There are three Nerea Statues in Aran's hometown.

This is where the true Blades of Fire experience begins. Many players assume that beating the final boss means they’ve finished the game. Not quite.

Now begins the post-game, where you have access to all your stats, the best weapons, and the knowledge you’ve built up over the last 20 hours. Finding all 13 Nerea Pieces unlocks the true ending, along with a much-needed explanation of what the hell is going on in this story.

Statue of Nerea.

Tracking down all 13 Nerea Pieces will take time, easily adding another 20 hours to your journey. Each Nerea Fragment requires two Blue Gems to unlock, and each Blue Gem can only be acquired by killing a boss across the game’s overworld. There are a total of 26 Blue Gems to find. This is where the tedium begins, as stated in my review. But if you’ve been exploring thoroughly before this, you may already have collected several along the way.

Once the Stone Pedestal of the Forgers is unlocked, you’ll see new icons on your world map, marking places to explore throughout Blades of Fire’s vast dark fantasy world.

When you’ve collected all 13 Nerea Pieces, you'll know what to do next. I’ll leave the rest in your hands.
