This has been a rocky week for Rockstar (no pun intended), as clips of GTA 6 gameplay footage have been leaked online by the mysterious entity CyberLeek. These show many different things, from driving mechanics to combat, customization options, and places to visit such as a nudist town or a nightclub.

None of the leaks have featured anything that will ruin the game story until now that is. CyberLeek posted an almost 5-minute clip where players can see part of the game's prologue.

The leaked prologue arrived just a few hours after Rockstar issued a letter claiming that the developers are heartbroken, but the game is still on track to release this year. In this letter, the studio warns players of imminent spoilers and hopes players can avoid them and wait a bit longer to experience the game for themselves.

It is unclear whether CyberLeek will release more campaign spoilers from here on forward, but we also recommend muting the necessary keywords on social media to avoid getting your experience ruined.

For now, players can look forward to tomorrow, Thursday, August 27, as Rockstar is set to debut an extended look on Netflix, where we will get our first look at gameplay and even more details. GTA 6 is scheduled to release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC version hasn't been announced at the time of writing, with the port most likely releasing sometime after the original launch.
