GameShare will be a massive feature on Switch 2, allowing gamers to play together, even when they’re far apart. If you ignore the other players’ screens, this will be a good time for everyone involved. It’s not surprising that Mario Kart World can use this feature at the system’s launch.

Now that Nintendo has detailed the free Switch 2 upgrades for certain Switch games, we know they will add GameShare to these last-gen titles. That is excellent news since the Switch 2 will be backwards-compatible with most, if not all, of these games. However, only 12 last-gen Switch games have been announced, and more should be confirmed.

So, without further ado, here are some Switch games that should get GameShare updates on Switch 2.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Let’s get the obvious one here first. Many people won’t be able to pay $80 for Mario Kart World, so many will stick with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. It feels like this game getting GameShare support is a matter of “when” rather than “if.” This game is the best-selling Switch title ever, so Nintendo should at least give it that update.

Considering the sheer amount of content in this game, including the recently-added Booster Course, we imagine that these players will be content not getting World just yet. So let’s get GameShare on this legendary Switch title, so we can cuss at our friends who throw blue shells at us.

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe and Super Mario Bros. Wonder

This might sound hard to believe, but New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe is getting a free Switch 2 upgrade that doesn’t have GameShare. Considering that this game has four-player multiplayer, one would think that adding that new feature here would be obvious, but that’s not the case.

Oddly enough, out of all the Switch games that get free Switch 2 upgrades, Super Mario Bros. Wonder isn’t one of them. Like New Super Mario Bros., this game also has four-player multiplayer and would benefit from that feature. It’s also weird how neither of these games is getting GameShare, but Super Mario Odyssey is.

Enter the Gungeon

An incredible roguelite with fun shoot-em-up gameplay, Enter the Gungeon would benefit quite a bit from having GameShare. While local multiplayer is probably more fun, players don’t always get that chance, so being able to play with friends online would be ideal. Plus, there’s a sequel coming, so this update could draw eyes to this title.

It’s a few years old, but Enter the Gungeon is still one of the most fun roguelite shooters. Naturally, the game will play much better with friends, especially those great at shooting. Admittedly, players who are bad at games would also make this a fun experience.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge

What’s better than four-player multiplayer? Six-player multiplayer. That’s reason enough to give Shredder’s Revenge GameShare capabilities if you ask us. It also helps that this is one of the best beat-em-ups ever made, which will only add to the fun.

The game also has a solid roster. Fans who just purchase the base game will have six characters with an unlockable seventh. DLC also adds four more characters, making that an eventful eleven. With a huge roster and six-player multiplayer, that’s a recipe for GameShare fun.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3

Now that the MCU is in again, thanks to Thunderbolts*, fans might want to pick up Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 for some four-player co-op. Since this game is still a Nintendo Switch exclusive, we think GameShare would make playing this more fun than it already is.

With characters from the comics and MCU, fans will have a plethora of characters to choose from. Optional challenges with unlockables add to the replayability, ensuring that there will always be a reason to pick this up. It’s not Marvel Rivals, but Ultimate Alliance 3 is a pretty good time.

Those are the Switch games that would benefit from some free GameShare upgrades. Knowing Nintendo, they will definitely update some titles, but not the ones you really want. Here’s hoping they prove us wrong.
