Season 5 launches with two new maps available immediately, with a third map arriving later in the season. Map layouts are built to balance close-quarters infantry firefights inside dense structures with wide-open combined arms battlegrounds for air and ground vehicles.

A range of balance updates and general improvements across weapons, classes, vehicles, and anti-air options will also arrive alongside Season 5. These include:

  • Armored vehicles feature updated directional damage models, weak points, and adjusted health regeneration to place greater emphasis on positioning.
  • Below Radar mechanics are removed for the SLM-93A and Igla missile launchers, mobile/stationary AA cannon effectiveness is improved, and Scout Helicopter rocket mechanics/resupply timers are rebalanced.
  • Vehicle ammunition and secondary weapons have distinct tactical roles, alongside updates to guided missiles, anti-vehicle mines (M15 AV Mine, PTKM-1R), and improved visibility for High-Velocity Shells.
  • Weapon profiles across various engagement ranges are being tuned alongside class equipment roles to ensure clearer, distinct utility on the battlefield.

The REDSEC experience in Season 5 introduces Rapid Royale in both Solos and Trios formats, delivering a streamlined, fast-paced take on the traditional battle royale formula refined through prior testing in Battlefield Labs.

To support these additions and ensure healthy player pools and quick queue times, matchmaking playlists and mode rotations are being reorganized for the new season. Additionally, players looking to finish their progress will have extra time as the Phantom Program challenges remain active beyond Season 4.

Elsewhere, Portal and Server Browser features will expand community options in Season 5 through enhanced custom mode creation tools, while a dedicated Server Browser is scheduled to roll out later in the season to improve match browsing and community hosting.
