Another day, another person complaining about Marvel Rivals' terrible optimization on PC. This time, it's 100 Thieves creator and former professional Call of Duty player, Nadeshot, who voiced his frustration having returned to the game after a week, only to find it running like absolute trash.

And he's absolutely valid for that. More on that later.

In his tweet, he expressed frustration over Marvel Rivals dropping frames and stuttering every 30-45 seconds. He tried everything from rolling back his drivers to updating his software, but to no avail.

Players have shown support for his issue, with many suggesting that his AMD CPU is the root cause. Marvel Rivals has struggled with AMD CPU optimization since launch.

Nadeshot even commented in the same thread, speculating that this might be an isolated case. He has begun to lose hope with the game’s state, thinking that his PC might be bricked. However, Marvel Rivals' optimization has been poor since its release three months ago.

Players across social media platforms, including Reddit and X (formerly Twitter), have reported intense memory leak issues, causing PCs to crash without warning. Even those with powerful hardware, such as 4070 Supers and 5700x, struggle to maintain a stable 60 frames per second on minimum settings.

While this is partly a NetEase issue, Unreal Engine 5 is also to blame. The engine is so powerful that it often botches its own optimization. Marvel Rivals isn’t alone in this struggle—titles like Black Myth: Wukong, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, and even Lost Records: Bloom & Rage suffer from unstable performance as well.

At this point, Nadeshot's frustration is completely justified. NetEase needs to step up its optimization efforts, especially as the game continues to expand through new maps and characters. With Season 2 on the horizon, fixing these issues is crucial to avoid further backlash.
