We’re only a few weeks away from the highly anticipated return of Lagiacrus in Monster Hunter Wilds’ Title Update 2, and players are already gearing up their equipment and weapons in preparation. However, leaks suggest that the massive lightning Leviathan won’t be the only creature making a comeback: the dangerous aerial predator, Seregios, is also expected to arrive in the same update.
This information was revealed on the r/MonsterHunterLeaks subreddit, where prominent Monster Hunter Wilds dataminer u/RoseKaedae uncovered details in the game files indicating that both Lagiacrus and Seregios will be featured in Title Update 2.
In the thread, the user also discovered that Lagiacrus will engage in Turf Wars with the Apex Monster Uth Duna (its rival in the aquatic food chain) and other notable monsters like Rathalos and Arkveld. Unfortunately, while Seregios has been found in the game files, no Turf War data appears to be associated with it for now.
The leak also notes that Lagiacrus will appear in the Scarlet Forest (as expected), with its own dedicated map, and will also be found in Wounded Hollow. Meanwhile, the terrifying flying wyvern Seregios is said to inhabit the Windward Plains, Wounded Hollow, and Wyveria.
Interestingly, it seems Lagiacrus won’t be a Siege Monster, unlike past monsters like Alatreon or Kulve Taroth. Since it can travel to multiple locales, it avoids the usual scenario where large monsters like Jin Dahaad or Zoh Shia are locked into just one area. This also suggests we won’t get special mechanics like Fatalis’ DPS checks from Monster Hunter World. Instead, it might be a more traditional hunt, so players may need to temper their expectations if they hope for an epic, cinematic showdown.
Seregios's presence in the Forbidden Lands might offer a more intense challenge than its appearance in Monster Hunter Rise. This time, the flying wyvern could be more aggressive and deadly, fitting, considering its armor and weapons are all about raw power and high affinity.
But Lagiacrus and Seregios aren’t the only new monsters on the horizon. Much like the Arch-Tempered Rey Dau, we expect a more powerful version of Uth Duna, which could potentially one-shot hunters and significantly raise the difficulty. This Arch-Tempered Uth Duna will likely be a fearsome addition to the roster, thanks to its relentless body slams and overwhelming aquatic attacks; an ideal challenge for players who feel the game has gotten too easy.
Title Update 3 is still a while off (potentially dropping in August). However, fans and dataminers have already spotted references to an unidentified new monster codenamed “Em166” in the game files. According to leaks, this could be an original monster similar to Kulve Taroth. Additionally, a “tar-covered” monster has been found in the files, and longtime fans might already know what that means.

Monster Hunter Wilds’ Title Update 2 is expected to release on June 26 or 27, and we may see an official trailer later this week or early next week. Of course, as with any leak, all of this should be taken with a grain of salt; nothing is confirmed until Capcom says so.
