Earlier today, Capcom announced that it will be hosting another Capcom Spotlight event on June 26, showcasing new content from its lineup of best-selling titles. This includes fresh details on the highly anticipated Resident Evil Requiem, the return of PRAGMATA, a new season for Street Fighter 6, and of course, Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2.

Players have been speculating that Capcom might shadow drop the highly anticipated Title Update 2 right after the showcase. However, some fans believe it’ll become available the next day on June 27.

It might not be a shadow drop, but many are hoping that the update will arrive on the same day as the Spotlight. This way, they can dive back in and continue enjoying the Monster Hunter Wilds experience on a weekend, especially after the game’s awkward content drought, and backlash due to performance issues.

That said, others have pointed out that despite Capcom’s promise to release Title Update 2 within the month, it could still drop as late as Monday, June 30. Still, Capcom did manage to stretch things out with Title Update 1.5, giving players just enough to enjoy this update.

A June 27 release remains highly likely, though, as Capcom has a history of launching major updates on Fridays.

Lagiacrus returns!

Title Update 2 introduces the iconic Lagiacrus and possibly another returning monster to the Monster Hunter Wilds roster. It also brings layered weapons, weapon rebalancing, and performance and optimization fixes. It’s no surprise that Monster Hunter fans (myself included) are eager to get their hands on it.

For now, all we can do is wait for Capcom’s Spotlight on June 26. Who knows? We might even get something completely new to satisfy Monster Hunter Wilds players.
