Oh god. Marvel Rivals is introducing a new game mode called Clone Rumble, which removes the usual hero limits. The mode will be available from March 7 to April 11, coinciding with the end of Marvel Rivals’ Season 1. Imagine the chaos this will unleash—and the many PCs that might struggle to keep up if multiple Doctor Strange portals appear at once.

Clone Rumble is similar to Overwatch’s No Limits Mode, allowing players to pick any hero without restriction. However, Marvel Rivals has put safeguards in place—because without them, your PC might not survive.

How It Works

The game still follows a 6v6 format, with 12 players in a single lobby. However, before the match begins, players must vote to choose from two available heroes to clone, which everyone on both teams will then play as. This opens up a floodgate of chaos and randomness to a match, which is definitely what NetEase intended.

This means you could see an aerial swarm of Iron Man unleashing Maximum Pulse every few minutes or an army of Jeff the Land Sharks hilariously trying to devour each other. The possibilities are endless—but at least NetEase has limited it to just two heroes per match to prevent a complete system meltdown.

The only map available for this mode is Birnin T’Challa’s Domination Map, though a Custom Game Mode will allow players to tweak additional settings.

But that’s not all—this event also introduces a free Black Widow skin, "Mrs. Barnes" from the 1872 comic series. Players can unlock it by participating in Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure, a mini-game mode similar to Mario Party, where you roll dice (earned by playing matches) to progress across a game board.

Both of these new additions offer fun distractions—whether you're looking to unwind or recover from yet another losing streak after being forced to solo tank again.

Meanwhile, Marvel Rivals’ Season 1 is nearing its end, and players are having the time of their lives playing all Fantastic Four members, including the recently added The Thing and Human Torch. With Krakoa set to be the game’s next major map and lore piece, Season 2 could introduce even more exciting characters.
