Overnight, NetEase revealed that a brand-new event titled Path to Doomsday is coming to Marvel Rivals. This is different from a normal in-game event, as this will span across the entire year instead of just lasting a few weeks during a season.
The event is set to bring new content based on the Avengers movies throughout the year, in preparation for the release of Avengers Doomsday. Starting in April, content related to one of the Avengers movies will drop every two months, with the event culminating in December when the new movie premieres.

The event will start next month with content based on 2012's The Avengers. NetEase revealed that for this first content drop, they're adding a brand-new limited-time game mode where one player using Loki will face off against six other players.
Loki will have a different skill set based on the power of the Infinity Stones. On the other hand, the six players can win by meeting certain conditions to summon Hulk, who will recreate the iconic "puny god" scene from the movie.
To top it off, Loki will receive a brand-new skin based on his outfit during the Battle of New York, as you can see in the image at the top of this article.
We can expect more information about the rest of the content drops when we get closer to its release. In the meantime, players can still enjoy using Deadpool and his weird references or Elsa Bloodstone in the current season.
