Though everyone does seem to have the same goal when it comes to playing a game, there are players who give themselves personal—often ridiculous limitations to make gameplay more interesting for them. Overwatch has ‘Attack Mercys’ who refuse to heal teammates and Elden Ring has Melania enthusiast Let Me Solo Her.

Marvel Rivals had a community hero called NoDamageRocket who refused to deal any amount of damage to the enemy team—and now it looks like they’ve met their match.

0 Healing Rocket in Marvel Rivals

As pointed out by @RivalsAssembled, there is a player called 0 Healing Rocket (@ottrTweets) who managed to climb to Celestial rank just by playing Rocket Racoon without any intention to heal their teammates.

Apparently, he’s managed to get to the rank with zero heals, a win rate of 63%, and a 3.6 kill/death ratio. If that doesn’t seem too believable, there are several videos of them dominating as Rocket:

Anyone who is ever matched up with him is understandably annoyed that he would be a Rocket that doesn’t heal, but he more than makes up for it by making Rocket a very capable Duelist class hero—providing swift death whenever they get the chance.

Marvel Rivals Rankings

For context, Celestial is not at the very top of the Rivals tier, but it’s certainly not a rank to scoff at either. Here’s the rank list and the percentage of players in them as of March 2025:

  • Bronze: 47.34%
  • Silver: 19.59%
  • Gold: 16.34%
  • Platinum: 10.01%
  • Diamond: 4.17%
  • Grandmaster: 2.01%
  • Celestial: 0.47%
  • Eternity: 0.04%
  • One Above All: 0.01%

0 Healing Rocket’s rank could certainly have a chance to get higher, but it’s possible that the limitations of not being able to heal could ruin their chances of playing efficiently. Not to mention it’s going to frustrate any player who has no idea what his specific schtick is when it comes to the game.

Marvel Rivals Season 2 Incoming

If anything, 0 Healing Rocket is going to be going back to square one soon as Marvel Rivals is ready to close Season 1 this coming April. No details have been released yet for what to expect with Season 2, but NetEase is going to be bringing every player back to one, and 0 Healing Rocket will have a new chance to keep grinding to get that rank back up for the season; maybe to something even higher than Celestial.

So far, very few community heroes have managed to make headlines like the two Rocket players, 0 Healing Rocket and NoDamageRocket, but there will probably be more people with sillier personal challenges that would catch everyone’s attention down the line—much to the dismay of their uninformed teammates.

For a game that’s just starting out, there are multiple chances for Marvel Rivals to build up some community heroes over the course of the year. Let’s not forget that with every new character comes a different kind of challenge for any of these would-be specialists. It's still not clear who could be coming down the line, but a lot are convinced that Season 2 is going to deliver several X-Men; while others think that Rivals will finally drop Ultron and Blade who were leaked months ago.
