This year's Nintendo Direct introduced several top titles, and one of them is one gamers have been waiting for.
Kingdom Hearts 4 was first announced in 2022 during the franchise's 20th anniversary. Since then, updates about the game have been few and far between - until this year's Nintendo Direct, that is.
Here's everything we learned about Kingdom Hearts 4 (and other Kingdom Hearts titles) from the showcase.
Kingdom Hearts 4 Confirmed For The Nintendo Switch 2
This year's Nintendo June Direct was stacked, and one of the games that received applause from viewers was Kingdom Hearts 4.
During the showcase, it was confirmed that the Square Enix title will release on the Switch 2, as well as the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
The announcement came with a new teaser trailer, which appears to be a slightly different version of the announcement trailer that was first announced in 2022. The trailer features Sora in the world of Quadratum, fighting a shadowy demonic figure going on a rampage in the city.

The trailer also featured Donald and Goofy, who aren't in the same world as Sora, but will likely try to find him.
No release date was announced for the game, so it will most likely arrive in 2027 or beyond, as predicting a release window is difficult for the time being.
Kingdom Hearts Collection (1-3) is Coming to Switch 2
Besides the Kingdom Hearts 4 announcement, it was also revealed that a collection featuring the first, second, and third Kingdom Hearts games will release on the Switch 2. The games will also be available for individual purchase.
