Is the Monster Hunter Wilds honeymoon phase slowly fading? For some, that might be the case. While the latest entry in the incredibly popular Capcom franchise was a massive success both critically and commercially, a few players are already turning their back on the game.

Now, before you raise the pitchforks, the vast majority of players are still loving Wilds. It's an ambitious expansion of the Monster Hunter formula that fans particularly enjoyed with World and Rise.

Still, unpopular opinions are popping up on social media about Wilds' content offering. A player who found the time to play over 130 hours since release sparked debate about the game. They called Monster Hunter Wilds a solid entry with fun gameplay, but the content offering was too easy.

Now, people calling Monster Hunter Wilds too easy is a valid criticism that's been a somewhat common opinion amongst the community.

Players are breezing to the story in order to get to the "real game" and face off against powerful monsters only to discover that Wilds doesn't present the challenge that previous Monster Hunter titles had in their post-game content offering.

PC players in particular have also been overly critical of Wilds. More so for technical reasons than gameplay ones, but still valid nonetheless. The game launched in a poor state with optimization being nearly impossible, leading to some hilarious bugs.

Is the gamer cycle of hyping and tearing after launch starting already?

If you have a rig that's considered mid-range, chances are you probably won't get a decent framerate or solid graphical performance.

It could be the case of Capcom rushing the game, as other players notice that the game lacks features previous games had, on top of multiple technical issues plaguing the PC port. Even small quality-of-life details like quest descriptions tend to feel generic.

In any case, no one can deny Monster Hunter Wilds has been a smash hit for Capcom and players are hopeful more content will fix some of these early issues.
