Batman can't actually fly, but there's a way for him to soar the skies in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.

And that's by gliding. Gliding is an important tool that helps you travel around Gotham City faster and perform aerial takedowns on enemies that are none the wiser.

Gliding in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

Gliding is unlocked during the WayneTech R&D mission in Chapter 1. After leaving the building, the game gives you a tutorial on how to glide from the top of a skyscraper.

To glide, press X on PlayStation or A on Xbox while airborne to enter gliding form. Use the left stick to increase or decrease your speed. You can press L3 to activate Glide Boost, which gives you extra speed while in the area.

While gliding, you may come across rings you can fly through. This activates Glide Launch, which is a follow-up move that sends you into the air with great force. You can also Glide Cancel, which lets you stop gliding and repositions you to land or switch to a different move.

As you progress through the game, additional upgrades become available to add more diving abilities. One of these is the Glide Takedown, which allows you to perform Takedowns by pressing R1 from a Glide.

Another one is Dive Bomb, which requires you to dive (press the Square button on PlayStation and X on Xbox) while gliding to plummet down into the ground.
