You heard that right. Hollow Knight: Silksong is becoming more and more real now that players will finally be able to get their hands on it, well, some of them at least. Team Cherry will be showcasing the game during an exhibition called Game Worlds, opening September 18 at Australia’s National Museum of Screen Culture, ACMI.

You can check the full details of the Exhibition on their official website here.

It might seem like an unusual move for a game that’s been highly anticipated since its announcement six years ago, but curators at the museum say Team Cherry trusted them to highlight their work after years of silence.

Silksong?

The Silksong exhibition promises to dig deep into the game’s development, from Hornet’s fluid animation style to previews of some of the game’s intense boss battles. Best of all, attendees will be able to try out a playable demo ahead of its still-unknown release date.

Of course, this doesn’t necessarily mean the game is ready to launch just yet. While a 2025 release window has been suggested by a few sources, details around Silksong’s development remain scarce. Still, fans are relieved to see signs of life, especially following the game’s surprise showing at the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct Showcase.

Now, with Silksong’s appearance at Australia’s Game Worlds event, the pieces might finally be falling into place.

Hollow Knight: Silksong is real, and we're getting closer. Hopefully.
