Hades 2 has been one of the most polished Early Access experiences Steam players have ever gotten their hands on. The amount of content that’s already available in this period has a ton of fans pumped for the eventual release of 1.0. It seems that reality isn’t far off, as Supergiant Games has confirmed that their most recent patch will be the last one before an official release.
On the game’s official patch notes, Supergiant confirmed that Patch 10 is going to be the last one this Early Access period will get. While the devs didn’t confirm a release date for 1.0, the company’s consistent updates have us hoping it will be coming soon.
For the most part, this Early Access period of Hades 2 has given fans a fairly complete roguelite experience. As Zagreus’ sister, Melinoë, players can already mix up with most of the bosses and have plenty of heartfelt conversations with characters from the previous game. There’s even new content not in the original, like occasional farming.
But a lot of Hades fans were into it for the story (and hot characters), so they have been waiting out this Early Access period. Despite being an excellent time for most gamers, the lack of major story elements and a definitive ending has a good number of players avoiding this title. It’s been a painful wait, to say the least, as the combat looks better than ever, and we can’t imagine how good some of these character moments are going to be.
As it stands, Hades 2 is still an incomplete game, despite having a ton of content. The fact that it’s really playable and has so many activities for players makes it more complete than other lesser titles out there. It’s been a long Early Access period for fans, but we’re sure the release of 1.0 will be god-like, especially on Switch and Switch 2.
