Jason Duval is potentially Grand Theft Auto 6’s second playable character, alongside Lucia Caminos. The two are lovers who operate in their own chaotic way, committing crime after crime and making love in between their criminal sprees. Together, they seem like an unstoppable pair of crooks, echoing their apparent inspiration: the iconic Bonnie and Clyde. And we all know how that story ended.
Some fans theorize that Jason is actually an undercover cop, trying to infiltrate Lucia’s criminal life, possibly to uncover the truth behind Leonida’s sprawling conspiracy of thugs and gangsters. According to the game’s lore, Jason grew up around grifters and crooks and served in the Army. Now, he’s working for drug runners, but after meeting Lucia, his life seems to have taken a very different turn.
A key piece of fan speculation centers on a scene in the second trailer. After Jason tries to bail Lucia out of jail, a guard remarks that he looks familiar as he’s seen Jason before. While this could simply mean Jason was once a prisoner, others believe it suggests he might be working for law enforcement, perhaps as a former prison guard or local cop trying to infiltrate Lucia’s world in search of answers.

Fans also point to Jason’s proficiency with firearms, a skill not typically seen in the average person. However, given his military background, it’s likely he picked up those skills during his time in the Army.
