Game Informer released a 14-page spread about the most anticipated game of the decade, GTA 6.

The feature comes with plenty of new information about GTA 6 that has never been revealed before. From the weather system to the wildlife, GTA 6 is shaping up to be an even larger game than players initially thought.

Wondering about everything new revealed? Here's what you need to know.

Advanced Weather System

It has been revealed that GTA 6's weather system will be pretty ambitious. There will be more detailed wind effects and localized, persistent weather. This means that the game will feature a dynamic cloud system that produces everything from clear skies to storm clouds.

Speaking of storms, GTA 6 will feature both hurricanes and tropical storms. This means heavy clouds, strong winds, a dense atmosphere, and plenty of rain. It hasn't been explained how frequently this would happen or if it will affect the story itself.

Leonida's Bountiful Wildlife

Leonida will reportedly be home to more than 170 animal species, including animals that have never appeared in a Rockstar game previously. This includes 60 types of birds, 30 land mammals, and various fish and reptiles.

Rockstar has specifically stated that alligators, flamingos, manatees, and pelicans will be featured in GTA 6. We'll also be getting sharks, whales, stingrays, turtles, and jellyfish. These will each have their own unique animations rather than basic animations.

This doesn't end with just sea creatures. All animals will have their own visual details. For example, birds will feature different feather types. Fur will also react to their surroundings, which means if it rains, you might see a wild mammal with drenched fur.

GTA 6 Features Six Main Regions

It's long been touted that GTA 6 will feature the largest map the studio has ever made. Rockstar revealed to Game Informer that Leonida will be extremely dense, detailed, and interactive. All the buildings, alleys, and interiors got some major love.

Leonida is split into six major regions: Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga National Park. Each region has its own unique environment and activities.

Vice City is meant to mimic Miami with its beaches, busy streets, and Art Deco buildings. On the other hand, Grassrivers is meant to be Leonida's version of Florida's Everglades.

New Details on NPC Variety

As revealed before, Rockstar Games has created 6,000 unique animations for GTA 6's NPCs. The Game Informer feature provides more information, revealing just how detailed the NPCs are.

NPCs now vary in height, have different body types, and "specific differences in areas such as musculature, local weight gain in chests/busts, stomachs, and, yes, butts." Characters will also have different skin types and details such as freckles and moles.

Rockstar also ensured that everything is culturally accurate. They added that they paid a lot of attention to "culturally correct tattoo styles that fit Leonida’s diverse communities and regions. Hair and body grooming will also have better visual representation, featuring far more ethnic styles."

New Activities Confirmed

Game Informer gave fans a more detailed look at the side activities you can play in GTA 6. Some of these have been hinted at in trailers and the Netflix Extended Look, but now they've been explicitly confirmed. Some of these events include dates for Jason and Lucia.
