Delta Force has officially launched on next-gen consoles worldwide, providing first-person shooter fans with something to play until Battlefield 6 arrives later this year.

Released as a free-to-play game, Delta Force is available to download now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, and it comes with three distinct gameplay modes:

  • Warfare: Large-scale 32 vs 32 player battles with vehicles.
  • Operations: A tactical extraction mode with PvE and PvP encounters.
  • Black Hawk Down: A remake of the classic campaign based on the 2001 film.

There are eight maps on offer in the Warfare mode, while Operations will take you across five different settings, with more to be added for both in the future. Delta Force also brings with it 11 unique operators, over 50 weapons, 11 drivable vehicles for land, sea, and air, and 20 class gadgets for added strategy.

An optional add-ons pack is available for $9.99, which includes exclusive cosmetics and in-game boosts, but the core game experience remains free for all, and developers have stated that Delta Force will avoid pay-to-win mechanics. It will also have a dedicated anti-cheat system managed by the G.T.I. security team.

With the Battlefield 6 Open Beta now over, Delta Force will hopefully scratch the itch that so many shooter fans will undoubtedly have between now and October, with Battlefield 2042 aiming to do the same with The Road to BF6 event.

The download size for Delta Force is approximately 97.84 GB on the Xbox Series and 111.589 GB on PS5.
