The 2026 Content Roadmap has already confirmed that two new maps will arrive alongside Season 4 in the form of Tsuru Reef and Wake Island. Designed to bring naval combat into the core experience while still supporting the combined-arms gameplay, players will take the fight across coastal combat spaces built for Battlefield action at scale.

Let's break down all of the upcoming content for Season 4, starting with the two maps!

Tsuru Reef

Built for scale, Tsuru Reef is even larger than Railway to Golmud, which is currently the biggest map in Battlefield 6.

Set across a wide oceanfront combat space, the map brings together island terrain, beach assaults, open water, and areas designed for infantry pressure. Players can expect a mix of vehicle combat and on-foot engagements, with room for boats, aircraft, armor, and squads pushing across key points of control.

According to EA and Battlefield Studios, the goal with Tsuru Reef is to deliver a Battlefield experience where Naval Warfare is not separate from the rest of the match. It is a part of how teams move, how fights develop, and how players create those unpredictable "only in Battlefield" moments.

Wake Island

One of Battlefield’s most recognizable locations, Wake Island, will return later in Season 4.

Fully reimagined for Battlefield 6, the dev team is updating the map for the scale, systems, and modern setting, while preserving the identity that has made it a fan-favorite across the series.

This version of Wake Island is being built with Naval Warfare in mind. Carrier-based headquarters help frame the fight from both sides of the island, while additional changes to the combat space support naval engagements around the map.

New Weapons, Equipment, and Vehicles

In addition to the two confirmed maps, a new leak has also provided us with a first look at some of the unreleased Battlefield 6 content expected to drop alongside Season 4.

Reputable dataminer @temporyal has shared a sneak peek at four new weapons, which include the EF88 Assault Rifle, BREN 3 Carbine, VSSM DMR, and HTI Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle, as seen below.

As well as the weapons, details were also shared about the CB90 Patrol Boat, which is "effective at directly engaging threats on the water and in the air, and armed with a twin heavy mortar." Meanwhile, Naval Mines will act as equipment for the Patrol Boat.

Gameplay Updates and New Features

Custom Lobbies, a Spectator Mode, and Proximity Chat have all been confirmed as new features for Season 5.

The arrival of Proximity Chat for both REDSEC and Multiplayer is focused on bringing a new layer of communication and tension into the Battlefield sandbox to create more emergent moments between squads, especially when positioning and awareness are key to how you play.

Details on Custom Lobbies and the Spectator Mode currently remain under wraps.

For now, that's all we know about Season 4. EA and Battlefield Studios have said they will share more on Naval Warfare, new gameplay systems, and additional Season 4 content ahead of its launch in July.
