For weeks, the internet has been plagued by supposed Persona 6 leaks.

From China's Red Note to Twitter (or X if you prefer), supposed screenshots of logos, characters, and even the supposed release date of the upcoming Persona 6 game were leaked online. Sega was quick to file copyright strikes against leakers, all but confirming the leaks are true.

Now, ATLUS has released a statement regarding the leaks. Out of respect for the devs behind the game, this piece will not include any of the supposed leaks.

ATLUS Acknowledges Persona 6 Leaks

On June 4, Persona's video game director and producer Katsura Hashino took to Twitter to release a message from ATLUS.

In the message, it was revealed that an unauthorized third party illegally accessed and distributed confidential information from their systems, which included developmental footage from the upcoming Persona title.

While this will not affect the development of the upcoming Persona title, they expressed disappointment that details of the game were shared with players in such a way. Despite that, they promise to continue working on the next Persona game and are determined to exceed player expectations.

ATLUS will update players soon and will introduce the game to fans when they are ready.

The message was shared as a quote-tweet to Hashino's tweet from May 29, which simply read, "You've gotta be f*cking kidding me."
