  • Quick Answer: Kingdom Hearts 4 has no official release date, but its recent gameplay showcase has fueled player speculation regarding highly requested worlds like Star Wars and Coco.

Kingdom Hearts 4 was officially confirmed during this year's June Nintendo Direct, and fans are already hyped.

Just like past Kingdom Hearts games, Sora and the gang are expected to explore different Disney-themed sets and environments. It's no surprise that this will likely be a main point of the upcoming game as well.

While plenty of great films - from Toy Story to Monsters Inc - have been featured, here are five I wish we'll see in Kingdom Hearts 4.

Star Wars

Star Wars is a franchise Disney acquired in 2012, yet it has never been featured in a Kingdom Hearts game. It would be perfect for the fourth installment, as Sora is seen struggling once again with the Light and Dark, which is similar to the struggle between the Jedi and the Sith.

The Galactic Empire would also be a great visual contrast against the hyper-realistic setting of Quadratum. Plus, some gameplay of Sora utilizing the Force with his Keyblade would be amazing to see.

Coco

In Kingdom Hearts 4, Sora is separated from his friends. He is in a different reality - an in-between world for the afterlife. Visiting the Land of the Dead from Coco perfectly coincides with this.

The Land of the Dead would be a great place for Sora to reconnect with his lost memories. It would also be a great shift away from the Tokyo-inspired world Sora is in now, thanks to how bright and neon The Land of the Dead is.

Moana

In Kingdom Hearts 3, we saw open-sea travels with a Pirates of the Caribbean set. I think this can be expanded on with a Moana-themed set, specifically featuring the Ocean.

Sora can team up with Maui for some shape-shifting team attacks, and the climax would be a fight against Te Ka. Sora could use his Power of Waking to purify the volcanic giant's heart back to Te Fiti.

Zootopia

From what we've seen from the trailer, Donald and Goofy are trying to reunite with Sora. I wouldn't be surprised if, after they do reunite, they end up in the world of Zootopia and transform to fit the environment. Perhaps they go undercover as stylized versions of their animal selves (Sora will need a disguise, obviously).

A Zootopia set could feature high-speed parkour chases through the different areas, such as the icy platforms on Tundratown or the rainforest canopies of the Rainforest District.

Encanto

Encanto features the magical casita (house) of the Madrigals. It's a sentient home that reacts to the family's emotional health. When people start doubting themselves and the magic, casita reacts accordingly.

Each member's room directly correlates to their powers. For example, Isabela has Chlorokinesis, and her room is like a large garden. Antonio can speak to animals, so his room is like a forest. In Kingdom Hearts 4, Sora can explore each room like a dungeon crawler, exploring the realities of each family member.
