Riot has surprised us with the amount of content coming with the next update for Valorant. Patch 13.06 is next on the calendar, and despite dropping mid-act, it packs many significant updates.
For starters, the update will introduce a brand-new weapon titled Warden. This weapon leaked a few days ago on social media, and it's a new automatic rifle that will join the Vandal and Phantom.
This rifle will have a sight attached, as it was designed to provide a stronger ADS option. The weapon has a serious damage output, and it's effective at "holding longer sightlines without fully committing to a sniper rifle."
Then we have a new mode called Gauntlet: Glitched, where eight teams of two compete in a tournament-style round-robin until one is left. Teams will have to build their own hybrid Robo-Agent by choosing from a pool of abilities. Something unique about this mode is that unexpected "glitches" will alter some abilities, creating wild combinations.
The update will also add a new Agent Mastery system, which means every playable character will have their own progression tracker. Players can level up their favorite agent by playing with it and will receive cosmetics as they progress.
On top of everything already mentioned, the home screen will receive a refresh, the Practice Range will finally be accessible while queueing for a match, and the game's console version will become available in Australia and New Zealand, as those territories weren't able to join in on the fun before.
Finally, Riot teased that a brand-new agent will be revealed at the Valorant Champions 2026 finals, which will take place in Shanghai this year.
Patch 13.06 is scheduled to roll out on Tuesday, September 15, at 6:00 AM PT for North America, LATAM, and Brazil servers. The version should be released on September 16 at 4:00 AM BST for European servers.
