Ubisoft is giving you the chance to experience looting like a pirate with their real-life treasure hunt.
When Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced was announced, people (understandably) lost their minds. Not only is Black Flag getting a much-needed refresh, but Ubisoft promised new content, better graphics, and improved combat.
Now, Ubisoft is hyping up the game even more in a massive way - a $500,000 treasure hunt.
Ubisoft Launches Massive Treasure Hunt In Celebration of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced
To celebrate Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, Ubisoft is launching a $500,000 treasure hunt that's supposedly set to last for up to five years.

Ubisoft teamed up with Unsolved Hunts to launch Gold & Crystal - The Lost Treasures of Edward Kenway. $500,000 worth of treasures have been buried somewhere in the Caribbean - and it's up to AC fans to dig up the treasure. The experience is a large-scale puzzle challenge inspired by the golden age of piracy, which lives up to the plot of Black Flag.
The items up for grabs are directly related to Black Flag. Some of the things up for grabs include a replica of a crystal skill and golden dabloons with the AC Black Flag logo.

It's not just about digging up treasure. Players will have to decipher cryptic messages, solve puzzles, study a treasure map - and all the hints are tied to the game. If you get all the hints right, you'll be led to one specific location in the Caribbean where all the treasure is buried.
It costs $35 to enter and can be completed remotely, so no need to travel to the Caribbean. You also don't need any knowledge of Black Flag to play, but it definitely helps, as there will be several hints connected to Edward Kenway and AC lore.

The lucky player who solves the puzzles will be flown out to the Caribbean by Ubisoft to dig up the chest themselves.
