Titanfall 3 Might Be Real After All

After years of silence and more canceled rumors than we care to count, the whispers around Titanfall 3 are starting to sound less like hopeful noise and more like something real.

Two trusted leakers from the Apex Legends community (YOROTSUKI and Osvaldatore) say Respawn Entertainment is hard at work on the long-awaited sequel, and it could be revealed sooner than expected.

If we rewind time for a second, Titanfall has had a tense history with EA. The first game skipped a traditional campaign entirely, focusing on multiplayer and launching as an Xbox exclusive in 2014, right as the Xbox One was struggling.

Titanfall 2 fixed everything the original lacked, adding a single-player campaign that many still call one of the best FPS experiences of the decade.

But the game never stood a chance, with its release date falling right between Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 1.

Despite that, Titanfall 2 still managed to build a cult following. The momentum continued with Apex Legends, a free-to-play battle royale in the same universe, which went on to become Respawn's biggest title.

Although Apex thrived and the studio was busy with big projects like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, fans kept asking: where's Titanfall 3?

A post from leaker Osvaldatore on X (formerly Twitter) showed an image of what looked like a Titanfall 3 logo. That in itself would've would've turned heads, but another leaker, YOROTSUKI, quickly jumped in to corroborate the claim.

According to them, this mystery project Respawn's been working on behind the scenes since late 2024 is, in fact, the next entry in the Titanfall series.

They claim the game will be revealed at The Game Awards 2025, with a release slated for 2026.

YOROTSUKI even shared that they had hinted at it months back on Discord servers, labeling it a "secret game" from Respawn.

They used April Fools' Day as cover, saying it's fun to drop unbelievable truths when people least expect them. That said, skepticism still lingers—and understandably so. Comments across forums reflect the exhaustion many fans feel.

Some are cautiously hopeful, while others flatly reject the idea, bringing up how Titanfall 2 was apparently sabotaged by its publisher when it launched between two FPS giants. Some are already expecting disappointment, sure that Titanfall 3 will either never arrive or end up as just an Apex Legends spin-off.

Since Apex is in the Titanfall universe, it makes sense to worry that Respawn might just be teasing another update, crossover, or limited-time mode instead of a whole new game.

If YOROTSUKI and Osvaldatore are right, it's probably Respawn's third internal team working on it, separate from both Jedi and Apex.

No matter how it turns out, Titanfall 3 is finally being talked about again—and that's more than fans have had for years.
