Bethesda Announces The Elder Scrolls 6: Sentinel

Following rumors regarding the upcoming Elder Scrolls game's title, Bethesda Game Studios has confirmed that the sixth game will be titled The Elder Scrolls 6: Sentinel.

The studio made the reveal in a special 40th-anniversary celebration video that was shared on November 3. At the end of the video, they showed a minute-long trailer teasing the game's release.

The trailer ended with a quote that reads, "The scroll offered only a shimmer, a veil thinly lifted to my eyes. A future lost. A victory undone. Sands of time scattered by fate."

Beyond the title, no more information has been released about Sentinel's release. On X, Bethesda stated, "Development continues, and while it’ll be some time before we’re ready to share more, it feels great to finally reveal the name and location with you."

In a report by The Verge from last week, it was claimed that Sentinel would be set in Hammerfall, a province that appeared in The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard and The Elder Scrolls Online. This has yet to be confirmed by Bethesda.
