After eight years of production and development, it looks like we're finally getting some news on the upcoming Elder Scrolls game.

Bethesda first introduced Elder Scrolls 6 in 2018 with a teaser, and active development kicked off in 2023 after the release of Starfield. Since then, we've heard little about when we'll get the game, but we've been reassured it is definitely coming.

And now, it seems another update on the title is coming soon.

The official announcement for the title will likely come as soon as next month to celebrate the 15th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's release. However, it seems that Bethesda will only be announcing the title and no other details regarding the game.

Bethesda has reportedly been showing off Sentinel gameplay. In August, Xbox CEO Sharma revealed she watched a live playthrough of it. At the time, she praised the scale of the game and told players that "the story is even greater."

In The Verge report, it was claimed that Sentinel will be set in Hammerfell. This is notably a province that appeared in The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard and The Elder Scrolls Online.

A release date or release window for the game hasn't been announced at the time of writing. Likewise, we still don't know which platforms the game will target on release, but we can only assume it will arrive for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
