Stellar Blade’s PC port is no longer region-blocked. After many fans thought that they would have to buy a PS5 to experience this sexy action game, Shift Up has confirmed that the PC version will be available in over 250 countries. It’s a great move, and one that a ton of gamers are going to appreciate.

Why Was Stellar Blade Region-Locked on PC?

No one knows why, but many assumed that it’s because the game was originally a PlayStation exclusive.

PlayStation announced not too long ago that the PC games they were publishing would need players to log into their PSN accounts. A lot of countries don’t have access to the PlayStation Network, so plenty of players don’t have access to these games. The PS5 lets players choose their region, but computers don’t, and plenty of gamers couldn’t purchase these titles.

Games like Helldivers 2 suffered for this, as the popular online shooter still isn’t available in other countries after being purchasable for a brief period of time. Other titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and God of War: Ragnarok still aren’t available in these countries either, which is a huge shame. There was some hope that Sony would revert this, but it hasn’t happened yet.

Stellar Blade was almost a victim of the restrictions, but gamers have somehow emerged as the victor.

Is Stellar Blade Available for Everyone?

The whole world is too vast to say “everyone can play it,” but most countries will now be able to purchase Stellar Blade on PC.

Fans in the Philippines and other countries in Southeast Asia can now purchase this busty RPG without any issues. Many gamers were hoping to play this on their Steam Deck or other handheld PCs, and now that’s possible. Fans can also download the demo, giving them a preview of how this game will play.
