Wondering how to get some rare Pokemon to appear in Pokopia? Try looking for fossils.
Pokopia is set in a post-apocalyptic world where humans have disappeared. Playing as a Ditto disguised as a human, your goal is to salvage the towns, build habitats for your Pokemon friends, and discover the mystery of humanity's disappearance.
Rarer Pokemon are hard to search for and require more intricate ways of finding them, and one of those ways is creating fossil displays. Here's everything you need to know about finding fossils in Pokopia.
How to Find Fossils in Pokemon Pokopia
Fossils aren't found in specific places. Instead, you will need to find Buried Treasure Blocks, which appear as blocks with golden light shining out of them (similar to buried Bells in Animal Crossing). To get the fossil hidden underneath, you need to use the Rock Smash ability.

Note that just because you hit a Buried Treasure Block doesn't guarantee you'll get a fossil. There's a chance you can get other items, so you need to be patient if you want to find all fossils available. These blocks also reset every day.
To make it easier to find these Buried Treasure Blocks, you can use a Dowsing Machine. You get the Dowsing Machine at Withered Wastelands after building a habitat for Hitmonchan. After building a habitat, it will also allow you to explore a location that leads you to a Poke ball, which rewards you with the Dowsing Machine.

Pokemon with the Search ability will be able to use the Dowsing Machine. The Pokemon you choose will be able to search for hard-to-find treasure and will give you instructions on how to locate it.
