The first Pokemon Pokopia DLC has officially gotten a release date.

During the June Nintendo Direct, it was revealed that Pokemon Pokopia was gearing up to release a free software update and its first paid DLCs. While the announcement hinted at what fans could expect, Nintendo didn't disclose a specific launch date.

Until now, that is. Here's everything we know so far.

Pokemon Pokopia Expansion Pass Bubbly Basin Release Date Revealed

Pokemon took to their social media accounts to share a trailer for their upcoming software update and their first paid DLC, the Bubbly Basin Expansion Pass.

Both the software update and the Pokemon Pokopia Expansion Pass Part 1: Bubbly Basin will be available on August 5, 2026.

The software update will allow you to develop towns underwater. Meanwhile, the Bubbly Basin introduces a new town called - you guessed it - Bubbly Basin.

If you purchase the Expansion Pass, you'll get access to all three parts of the Expansion Pass once they become available. Bubbly Basin is the first part that released on August 5. Part 2 will be available in late 2026 and will allow you to put accessories on Pokemon. Part 3 comes out in 2027 and will feature an additional new town.

Pokemon Pokopia is currently available as an exclusive for the Nintendo Switch 2, and no Switch 1 version has been announced.
