Today has been an exciting (and somewhat stressful) day to be an Oblivion fan, as rumors of the remake or remaster dropping on April 21 have been swirling since early this morning. Fans were eagerly anticipating a surprise release, hoping to finally get their hands on a reimagining of the beloved 2006 Bethesda classic. Unfortunately, there was no shadowdrop.

Until Bethesda officially announces Oblivion Remake with an announcement set for tomorrow at 8am PT.

If this is your first time hearing about The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake today, you might be catching the news just as its release nears. Across the Oblivion subreddit, fans are furiously mashing their refresh buttons, hungry for even the tiniest scraps of new info. It all started when Twitch added a “TESIV: Oblivion” category—followed shortly by a SteamDB listing for the remake.

Now, with the game's official announcement and ESRB entry has been unveiled just hours ago, real movement is happening around this remake. As expected, the community is losing its mind. Thankfully, with the reveal on Bethesda's social media channels, it looks like there's nothing left to speculate.
