Promotional images and in-game screenshots of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered have leaked online through the Virtuos website, which also revealed that development has been a collaborated effort between Virtuos and both Bethesda Dallas and Bethesda Rockville.
The images have provided fans with a first look at Oblivion Remastered, showcasing side-by-side comparisons, cover art, and an advertisement for the Deluxe Edition, which grants players access to exclusive items such as horse armor and weapons.
In addition to PC and Xbox/Game Pass, the leaks also stated that Oblivion Remastered will launch on PlayStation 5 despite various rumors previously suggesting that it would not be coming to Sony's console.
Speculation surrounding an Oblivion Remake has been rife for years, and although this latest development confirms it is indeed making a comeback, it will actually be in the form of a Remaster.
The expectation remains for Oblivion Remastered to be shadow dropped by Bethesda and Virtuos next week, with Giant Bomb journalist Jeff Grubb hearing from sources that its release is just days away.
