  • Quick Answer: Our predictions for the June 2026 Nintendo Direct include a Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, 3D Mario, Pokopia DLC, and more.

Nintendo announced that this year's June Direct will be held on June 9, 2026.

Besides the date and where to watch, Nintendo has kept quiet about what to expect. They didn't reveal what games would be featured, leaving Nintendo loyalists on the edge of their seats.

Since they haven't confirmed anything, I have some predictions - and I'm 80% confident I'm right.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake

Rumors of an Ocarina of Time remake have been circulating since March of this year, so if it's confirmed, it will likely be confirmed during this upcoming Nintendo Direct.

Reliable insider Nate the Hate shared the rumors online, and he's had a good history of accurately leaking Nintendo releases. Even for this Nintendo Direct, he believes the game could be closer, so it seems highly likely it's coming.

3D Mario

Just like Ocarina of Time, there have been plenty of rumors circulating that a new 3D Mario Game is in the works.

While rumors claim the game isn't coming until 2027, Nate the Hate has stated that it is in the works. With that, it's plausible that it will be announced during the Nintendo Direct showcase.

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave has already been confirmed for a 2026 release, but information besides that has been minimal to none.

Four characters from a fantasy video game are shown in a vertical layout, each with distinct visual styles. The first character has short dark hair and an intense expression. The second character has long, flowing hair and a composed demeanor. The third character is adorned with jewelry and has an elegant pose, while the fourth appears more stoic and serious.

With half of 2026 gone, it's only a matter of time before we get an update for the upcoming Fire Emblem game.

Pokemon Pokopia

Pokemon Pokopia was released in March of this year and was extremely successful. Nintendo had promised that Pokopia would continue to get updates, so I suspect that we may get a DLC announcement.

The DLC could include new areas to explore and possibly new Pokemon. I know there are some I definitely want to see in the game - like Alcremie.

Star Fox

The Star Fox remake is coming out on June 25, 2026, so it makes sense that Star Fox would be this year's headliner.

With that, Nintendo could give fans one final teaser before the drop to entice players to purchase the game. Perhaps the Treehouse livestream following the Direct will be dedicated to showcasing the game as well?
