Marvel Rivals’ first ever PvE mode is here and it’s teeming with the undead. Marvel Rivals Zombies twists the third-person hero-shooting shenanigans we’re familiar with. It adds a swarm of undead in a low-stakes chill game mode perfect for players who just want to pop zombie heads.

Here’s everything you need to know about this Marvel Rivals Zombies mode:

Marvel Rivals Zombies Game Mode

Marvel Rivals Zombies is a PvE mode, meaning you will be facing AI-controlled zombies with three other players with you. Think of it as the Marvel version of a Left 4 Dead or Back 4 Blood game, but it’s completely played in third-person. To play the game mode, players will need to select it from the game playlist similar to Competitive and Quickplay.

You can choose from five of the 43 Marvel Rivals characters in the roster: Magik, Blade, Jeff the Land Shark, Punisher and Thor. Each character brings their own strengths and weaknesses to the table.

If this is your first time playing the game, I’d recommend picking Blade as he deals the most damage with better survivability thanks to his lifesteal. Plus you get to play the game like a musuo title like Dynasty Warriors thanks to his sword.

Blade is the best character.

The game takes place in the Midtown map and consists of nine phases or levels. Clearing each of these phases gives you a number of upgrade points you can use to improve your selected character. For example, Blade can use the upgrade points to enhance his Daywalker Dash’s Damage and ability cooldowns. You always need to make sure you’re constantly upgrading your stats after every phase. Don’t save it for later!

The game has 7 difficulty modes, starting with Normal and going up to Nightmare IV, which is the hardest of them all. It would take a competent team with highly optimized builds to clear it.

Defeat Zombie Scarlet Witch to win the game.

To beat the Marvel Rivals Zombies game mode, you and your team of zombie hunters will have to beat Zombie Scarlet Witch. This is a dastardly difficult fight if your team hasn’t optimized their stats and upgrades as Wanda can wipe your squad with her “Reality Erasure.” Failure to stop this mode causes a game over, sending you back to the very beginning.

Marvel Rivals Zombies Rewards

Marvel Rivals Zombies doesn’t have any outfit rewards, but it gives players an extra boost in Battle Pass XP as well as extra units as rewards. You get more Rewards if you pick harder difficulties like Nightmare I - IV.
