To the shock of fans everywhere, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 was released to incredibly high scores by critics. Because the game is known for being hardcore and difficult, many assumed that it wouldn’t score well, and although most fans are happy with the results, that isn’t enough for Game Director Daniel Vávra.
Vávra has taken to X to complain about some of the low scores his sequel got. In one post, he focuses on Game Hub giving the game a 5 out of 10, angry that this kept the sequel from getting a 90. The game still has a very high overall score of 88, so the fact that he’s mad about some low reviews is incredibly petty.
Fellow X user Paul Tassi pointed out how Vávra has gone after Eurogamer following their Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 review, which included a 6 out of 10 rating. Tassi also shares the 90 score this game used to have, telling Vávra to simply “take the win.”
We understand that giving your all on a product that may or may not please audiences will leave artists emotional over their work. However, the game is already reviewed highly by most outlets, so seeing its director angry over a few negative thoughts is bad form. If there was ever a case of someone being a sore winner, this is a major example.
Gfinity’s own Alister Kennedy really liked Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, giving the game an incredibly high 9 out of 10. Fans can check out our review of the game here for proof. It’s a shame that Vávra couldn’t just enjoy the current praise his RPG is getting, but we do encourage fans to pick it up if they want an amazing hardcore experience.
So that’s the Game Director of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 going crazy over a few bad comments. For more on the game, check out some positive reviews via our Review Roundup and the current DLC roadmap.
