This has left many wondering whether or not the update is free for existing owners. Here's everything we know so far!
Is the Ghost Recon Wildlands 4K/60 FPS Update Free?
In short, yes and no. Current owners of the game will be able to enjoy the upgrade free of charge, though physical edition owners will need to ensure the disk is inserted whenever they want to play.
However, if you do not already own the physical or digital edition of Ghost Recon Wildlands, you will be required to purchase the game in order to experience the current-gen update. The Standard Edition is currently discounted on PlayStation and Xbox, priced at $4.99.
A free trial will be available between August 6-10, and any progress you make during that period will transfer over to the full game.
